Helper Dumpster Rentals · Lafayette, Indiana
“We haul debris for a living. But what we build is brotherhood.”
On January 30, 2026, our industry lost one of its own.
Daniel Stanton, owner of Helper Dumpster Rentals in Lafayette, Indiana, passed away after battling stage 4 cancer. Daniel was a hard working, positive, blue collar business owner who built his company the same way most of us have built ours. Long days. Early mornings. Determination. Faith. And grit.
Even during his fight, Daniel stayed upbeat. He stayed hopeful. He believed he was going to beat it. And that optimism is exactly how many of us will always remember him.
Daniel’s words. In his own voice.
In the days following his passing, something powerful happened.
This community stepped up.
Dumpster owners from across the country reached out. Equipment was purchased quickly so Kara would not have to deal with prolonged stress. Vendors stepped in and offered help without hesitation. Calls were made. Problems were solved. People showed up.
Every single dumpster was sold within hours. The trailer situation was handled. Support came from every direction.
And then there were the donations.
The GoFundMe created for Daniel and Kara received overwhelming support from fellow haulers, vendors, and friends. It was a reminder that this industry is not just trucks and steel. It is people. It is family. It is community.
Daniel cared deeply about this industry. He respected it. He valued the relationships in it. And there is no doubt he would have been overwhelmed with gratitude seeing how everyone rallied around his family.
This is what real community looks like.
To every dumpster owner who made a call, bought a container, shared a post, said a prayer, or donated to Kara and the family, thank you.
You proved that when one of us is down, the rest step in.
Please continue to keep Kara and the Stanton family in your prayers.
We haul debris for a living.
But what we build is brotherhood.
Rest easy, Daniel.
Every contribution makes a difference. If you’re able, please consider donating to help Kara and the family during this time.
