We went from a flatbed trailer to one of the most iconic motorsports venues in the country. Texas Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile quad-oval with massive indoor and outdoor event space. This is where the Dumpster Expo goes full throttle.

Three airports serve the DFW metro. Here’s how close each one is to Texas Motor Speedway.

DFW

Dallas/Fort Worth International

~25 minutes to Texas Motor Speedway. The biggest airport in the area with the most flight options. Rental cars, rideshares, and shuttles all available.

Dallas Love Field

~35 minutes to the venue. Southwest Airlines hub. Smaller, easier to navigate. Good option if you’re flying Southwest.

Fort Worth Alliance

~10 minutes to TMS. Closest airport but limited commercial flights. Great if you’re flying private or chartering.

We’re finalizing a group rate at a hotel near Texas Motor Speedway exclusively for Expo attendees. Last year we partnered with the Hilton Garden Inn Fort Worth Alliance Airport and rooms sold out fast. This year’s block will be even bigger.

In the meantime, the Fort Worth/Alliance area has plenty of hotels within 15 minutes of TMS.

What to Expect

Late September in Fort Worth

Texas in September is still warm. Here’s what to plan for.

Dress light during the day. Highs in the upper 80s. T-shirts, breathable shirts, comfortable shoes. You’ll be on your feet walking the vendor floor.
Bring a light jacket for evenings. Temps drop to the mid-60s after sunset. The Pre-Expo Mixer and any outdoor networking will be comfortable but cooler.
Stay hydrated. It’s still Texas. Bring a water bottle. The venue will have water stations but having your own is smart.
Sunglasses and sunscreen. Outdoor areas at TMS get direct sun. Even in late September, UV is real in North Texas.

Parking

Free on-site parking at Texas Motor Speedway. Plenty of space. Just follow the signs for the Dumpster Expo lot when you arrive.

Registration

Check in starts at 8:00 AM each day. Have your Eventbrite confirmation ready (phone is fine). You’ll get your badge, lanyard, and event materials on the spot.

Food & Drinks

On-site food vendors will be available throughout the event. The Fort Worth/Alliance area also has great restaurants within a 10-minute drive.
